The Thai Minister of the Interior, Amonrapun Numanandh and a group of some 80 personnel from the Tourism Development delegation group of Tak province, Thailand, visited Queenstown on Monday the 18th September.
They started their day off with a visit to Queenstown Top 10 Holiday Park Creeksyde. Erna Spijkerbosch spoke with the group for 40 minutes on being a New Zealand holiday park and Green Globe Certification. Tonnie then took the group for a guided tour of the holiday park with there being special interest shown in the worm farm.
Each delegate was presented with a Creeksyde shoulder bag with holiday park information and a complementary Worm Baggie for their rubbish while traveling on their coach.

A cruise on the T.S.S Earnslaw and lunch at Walter Peak Station was followed by a return to Creeksyde for a talk by David Kennedy of Destination Queenstown on marketing, and a local infrastructure question & answer session hosted by David & Erna.
The most common topic was Human Resources and the biggest difference was that the delegation members were almost all government officials and they were surprised that most accommodation businesses in New Zealand are privately owned – including the land.
