Australians this week will be able to catch New Zealand’s craziest adventure ride, Fly By Wire, in action as the product features on national television.
As part of a joint initiative with Tourism New Zealand, the company was recently able to host one of Australia’s biggest reality TV shows, The Biggest Loser.
Fly By Wire’s Sales & Marketing manager, Jess Trimming, says: “It was a fantastic opportunity for us and we were glad to help out. The show is extremely popular, not just in Australia but worldwide, and the publicity it brings both for us and for the region is very valuable.”
Keeping with the theme of the show, each contestant was issued with a personal challenge, and for the contestant visiting Fly By Wire, the scenario was no different. “You are in full control of the ride,” Trimming says. “When you release the towback and grab the throttle, it’s all up to you. And that’s what the show is all about, taking control of your fears and dreams and pushing the limits. It was a perfect fit for this particular contestant.”
Over the previous year, Fly By Wire has been the attraction of many high profile TV shows, for example, the documentary on Carl Fogarty, Jack Osbourne’s Adrenalin Junkie II (which continues to air in many countries throughout the world) and now, The Biggest Loser.
“We will continue supporting the media that visit Queenstown. Our aim is to show that Fly By Wire is an activity that anyone can do, and more so, that it’s outrageously good fun!” Trimming adds.
Be sure to watch the episodes of The Biggest Loser each day this week on Network Ten in Australia – 7pm Monday to Friday and 7.30pm on Sundays.
