Cardrona has opened for the 2008 season with great on-trail snow conditions. The MacDougall's and Captain's Express chairlifts are running from today, with the Whitestar Express chairlift to open on Saturday or Sunday after some more trail preparation has been completed. All other lifts, terrain parks, cafes, kids centres and facilities are open.

The express chairlift is part of an $8 million investment at Cardrona that has also included new snowmaking and a larger café at Captains as well as kids centre renovations, a new Olympic 2010 standard half pipe, a triple jump and a Big Air.
