A popular health and wellbeing expo will offer information, coaching and a range of services in Queenstown for the third year running.
The two-day Life Synergy Expo will take place on the weekend of September 20 and 21 at the Queenstown Events Centre.
The programme features free health seminars, wellbeing services, St Johns Ambulance health checks, live music, sports nutrition experts and an empowering range of exhibitors and speakers to encourage personal development.
"We set up the expo to support our vibrant community by providing easy access to services and businesses relevant to health, wellbeing and sustainability. It's our goal to promote positive living," said Sunny Sky, expo organiser and Trust Chairperson.
The Life Synergy Expo, a not-for-profit event, attracted 2,500 members of the public in 2006, footfall grew to 3,500 the following year and organisers now hope to capture the interest of an even larger local audience.
This year there will be a particular focus on sustainable living and family wellbeing, including a male health forum and well woman seminar.
Renowned New Zealand writer Kathy Fray (author of bestseller "oh baby") will host seminars covering positive parenting and youth development, and there will be session on health and healing, teenage life skills, nutrition and tips on sustainability.
Health, wellbeing and sustainability exhibitors are encouraged to register their interest soon, to secure a place.
"A diverse and fantastic line-up is already taking shape for September's Life Synergy Expo, and we're encouraging any exhibitors keen to take part to get in touch," said Sunny.
The Life Synergy Expo attracted around 40 exhibitors in its first year and over 100 in 2007. It's hoped positive word of mouth will drive this number up once again, to deliver an even greater selection of services and health practitioners to local residents.
Entry to the expo costs $10 per person and includes access to both days of the event. Funds raised will allow charitable organisations to exhibit free of charge and cover basic event costs.
More information is available at www.lifesynergy.co.nz. A full programme will be online by the start of September and in the free Life Synergy Health & Wellbeing magazine, which is distributed to local homes and businesses.
