It was a bluebird day for the first round of the Parklife Youth Mini Shred competition held in the Up & Go Terrain Park at The Remarkables yesterday (8 July).
Josh Clark, Youth Action Sports Co-ordinator at The Remarkables said more than 25 young freestyle skiers and riders took part in the event.
"Stand out riders were Olivia Kalb and Jay Walsh who each fought off fierce competition to win their groups," he said. "It was a magic day for everyone in the Park and all of our competitors went home with a prize from our sponsors K2, Alta Snowboard Shop and Parklife."
Mr Clark said most of the competitors took part in a coaching session with members of the Parklife Rider Team after the event.
"This was a wicked opportunity for these youngsters to learn some tricks from the best," he said.
The second round of the competition takes place at Mt Hutt this Saturday (12 July) with round three back at The Remarkables on 21 September.
