Community groups urged to

There are just three weeks remaining until the 2008 SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust funding round closes on Friday 1 August.

SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust Chairperson Mary Stamers-Smith said the Trust is committed to funding projects that positively impact health, education, the arts, culture and entertainment in the Queenstown Lakes District community.

"Making an application is quick and easy, but time is running out so we're urging any community groups in need of support to come forward and make their submission by the 1st of August," said Mary.

For more information on how to apply or to download an application form visit www.skycityqueenstown.co.nz or freephone 0800 SKYCITY.

Since 2002 the SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust has donated over $600,000 to more than 140 charitable organisations and community groups in the Queenstown Lakes area.

The list of successful 2008 applicants will be announced in September. Funding by SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust will continue each year with applications sought every June.
