Twenty kids from the Wakatipu area and their big buddies will enjoy the hospitality of Coronet Peak this Sunday (7 September) as part of the local Buddy Programme.
The Buddy Programme puts children with adult buddies to help the children experience a wide range of activities they may not normally have access to.
Whilst at Coronet Peak, the children will enjoy skiing or snowboarding, playing in the snow, lunch on the sundeck and a ride on a snowmobile.
Julie Scott, a Big Buddy, said the annual Buddy Day at Coronet Peak was always a fun day out for the kids.
“For many, it’s their first time on skis or a snowboard so this is an exciting opportunity for them,” she said.
Coronet Peak is supporting the Buddy Programme outing by providing lift passes and rental gear.
