The highest New Zealand mountain is a must to see here in the South Island, taken from the road on the way back to Tekapo.
Autumn in Arrowtown ( f/22, 1/13 sec, ISO 320)
There is a time during the year in Arrowtown when cameras are having a true feast, Autumn paints the hillsides spectacularly.
Glenorchy (samsung s5 mini)
Early morning in Glenorchy on the way to refuel company car, could not resist and take some panoramas, conditions were truly amazing, low clouds hanging just over the lake made it look very unique.
LUMA forest (f/2.8, 1/6 sec, ISO 2500)
LUMA is always a great way to test you skills and get your toes frozen, by far the best event during the entire year in Queenstown, plenty of very challenging installations to photograph, Thank you LUMA!
Moke Lake Milky Way Explosion (f/3.5, 30 sec, ISO 2000)
If you want to shoot some good astro, Moke Lake is the answer, hidden beauty with stunning lake & lots of mountains to choose from for you background, it will be cold !
Milford Sound (f/22, 1/80 sec, ISO 160)

Purakaunui Falls (f/22, 0.8 sec, ISO 160)
On the weekend trip to Catlins, the Purakaunui Falls offer great view especially when the water level is so high, open the shutter for a bit longer and voila!
Queenstown (f/22, 1/30 sec, ISO 200)
The scenery from the Skyline Gondola will take the breath away from even the capricious ones, walk or talk a cable car to enjoy it!
Aurora (f/2.8, 10 sec, ISO 2000)
When the Aurora alert is on RED there is a lot of traffic around the mountains and for a good reason, it was 7 on the 9 digit scale, my first ever time to capture that amazing phenomenon! @ Remarkables road.
Remarkable sunset (f/14, 1/4 sec, ISO 250)
Another lazy afternoon by the computer, but wait something looks pretty good in the window, now hurry up run for the camera downstairs, get the tripod, connect it and fire your camera those colours do not last long, mission accomplished!
Remarkable view point (f/22, 1/25 sec, 100)
When your friends are visiting you it is great excuse to go to the places where you have been many times, however, those landscapes always look different with clouds setup and light, can not be much better!
Roys Peak (f/22, 1/50 sec, ISO 100)
We do not have much time, we have to be back in Queenstown soon, so an hour and 3 quarters took me and a friend of mine to get to the top, almost running speed and taking quick shots, great success :)
Glenorchy road (f/10, 1/1000 sec, ISO 200)
One of the first moments when I got hold of my new camera, I decided to jump on the motorbike and ride to Glenorchy for some tests, pretty nice!
My name is Jakub, I come from Poland but after living few years in England I decided to upgrade my lifestyle, I came to Queenstown first in 2011 travelling in a camper van but I like it so much that I decided to come back here in 2013 and stay here a bit longer. In 2015 I became a resident, so opportunities opened up! Finally, I could start saving some money and bought myself a first proper DSLR camera, since then it stayed with me quite often accompanying me while going to explore! It is becoming a passion and would like to keep exploring and uncovering the secrets of photography and South Island is a top place for that!
I use canon 5d mk II with 16-35mm f/2.8 canon lens mostly but also canon 24-105 f/4L and sometimes sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 which needs to be upgraded!
