Hi Liza,

I'm Nathan, and my email address is on this page. Feel free to drop me a line as you didn't leave yours on here.

As far as brochures go, we don't do that. We exist primarily online and have an office in town, but that's it. So feel free to email me and I'll try to point you in the right direction,

Regards,

Nathan

nice site, but USELESS to find accomandation. Without a start price it is useless to find any accomandation. Only interesting for peaple who must be rich.
In principe the same for the actractions, why is not a price indicated.
Maybe to hide some thing?
Working on it

hi, im looking to come to queenstown in august
and was wondering how is the best way find a part-time job
for that time? thank you
...
written by nathan, January 25, 2008
Hi Dryden.

I suggest that you take a look at our jobs page closer to the time, which can be found here: http://www.queenstown.com/jobs

During August, the local skifields are in full-swing, so it may be a good idea to look on their site too. The link is: http://nzski.com/employment/welcome.jsp

There are some local publications that may also help, but best to check them out when you arrive. If you have any other queries, please don't hesitate to ask.

Regards,

Gig Guide
written by Out of Towner, February 23, 2008
Hi, You's guys have a really through Gig Guide, which is great , BUT the guide always comes onto the website after the weekend that it's need for.

Eg, you advertise the gig guide starting the weekend of the Fri 15 Feb but it doesn't come onto the website til Mon 18th..... Now it's the Sat 23 and last weeks one is still there.

Can you PLEEEEEEAASE put it on before the weekend needed!! I live way out of town and Qtown is the only place around that gets in good music and at the moment I'm having withdrawl symptoms.

Cheers guys.

Hi Brett,

The building and construction industry down here has shown no real signs of slowing down, and the main issue holding things back is not enough staff.

Try looking on:

http://tradestaff.co.nz/
http://www.labourhire.co.nz/

They are the 2 main websites in regarding to building work in the area. I hope they are of some use,

I am looking at coming over there, from Australia,to work in the ski season either by myself or with a friend or two.

I am looking for somewhere to stay while im am over there..

Anything from a room/studio to a 2 bedroom.. As cheap as possible!

Would it be better to go for Permenant rental or Holiday? Can you help me at all?

Thankyou!

Trying to find a place to live!
written by Hayley, March 25, 2008
Hi there,

My partner and I are relocating to Queenstown from Wellington in a months time, however we are having difficulties finding a flat and all property agents wont let without a physical viewing first. Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated!

written by Sarai, March 27, 2008
Know where you’re coming from Hayley, it’s really hard to find long term rental accommodation in Queenstown, we’ve been house-hunting recently too. Generally it was easier to deal with private listings as you can get a rapport going with the owner (also a bit cheaper, no agent’s fees!). Though to find them your best bet are the local papers, hard to do from Wellington.
Whether you go private or through an agent I’d suggest not to muck around once you’ve found one you like. Let them know you’re really, really keen, as even though this is supposed to be between seasons and easier to find accommodation, listings will go within the day.

Good luck! And enjoy Queenstown; it’s an awesome place, good on you for making the move!

I have been looking at scene each week, but as you say they are gone within the day! Are there any other papers that advertise rentals?

Finding a place to live
written by nathan, March 31, 2008
Hi all,

I've updated a thread in our forum that aims to help all those that have asked about accommodation in here. The thread is located here.

If you have any questions regarding a place to stay, please place them there. Future comments regarding accommodation questions will no longer be published here as this page is getting quite long. I'm also going to create a jobs specific thread soon also.

Thanks everyone for your questions, and to those that have placed answers.
