Looking for some info about the public transport in queenstown, and the practicalities of living of just outside queenstown (eg fernhill, frankton) without a car. It seems that the only bus service I can find is Connectabus which is $5.50 a trip (seems a bit steep for such short trips?). I'm thinking it is better to stay right in Queenstown if not planning to have a car....

Stay in QT Central (if you can) Apart from the cost of buses, if you like going out there are taxis to think of as well....
I've lived in Town consistantly and it's worth it.

Understatement of the year. There is no incentive to catch it yet. Hitch into town, bike or walk. Or pressure the QLDC to fund the bus to make it cheaper.
