I've heard that it is very hard to save money in Queenstown. Is this true? If I am trying to save money for more traveling, is it a bad idea to move there?

Short Answer: Never a mistake to move to Queenstown!

Long Answer: It's more difficult to save money here than other places. But the people that tell you that it's impossible to save money here either aren't working much or are drinking too much. Just budget your money wisely. See what's left-over after rent, groceries, bills......then decide how much of that you want to save or to go towards fun times.

Yup, I'm with NZTravels. You can do alright here, just be smart about it. Money is ok, rent is ok, like livnig in a bigger city, but you gotta have the right job (the right pay) and the right attitude.
