The black caps are playing Sri Lanka on NYE at the Queenstown Events Centre for those who love the cricket like me.

Should be a good day out if the weather holds up, and a steady drinking lead-in to the new years celebrations later on in the evening...

One just hopes that the level of play is better that what we have seen against the Australians so far...

well we bowled ok-ish..

Well the first match was a complete farce... a 147 run loss..

Yesterdays match was much better. Chasing Australia's 322, we managed to get 320 and also managed to give the game away in the last over with two stupid run-outs..

It does prove that the aussies are beatable..

Bring on the last game on saturday.!!

Was a great game to watch apart from when our bowlers got caned at the end of the aussie innings.. what comes around huh?

OK - So the cricket was great, there were more toilets, but saying, ok we are going to let you buy 4 beers at the cricket, and then they only let you buy 2? False advertising? I think i may have to complain to the commerce commision... anyways, GO THE BLACK CAPS

Well the LWB have announced that there will be more international cricket this new years eve. They seemed to be quite stoked to 'break' the news, which i find completely funny seeing the the Queenstown Events Center have had it on their website for the last couple of weeks, as have the Blackcaps website.

So anyways, we (NZ) won last years match against Sri Lanka, and this time around, it's a repeat performance against them again. Lets hope for a repeat result also (winning), but hopefully it won't be another cakewalk like last time.

Tight matches makes for better game, so this time around, Sri Lanka better do some practise.

Lets just hope they sort out the drinking rules. The last 2 games were a complete shambles. At least they had more toilets for the second game.
