Gibbston Valley Winery

Gibbston Valley holds the honor of being Central Otago's pioneering winery, planted back in 1987 when most locals thought the idea of growing grapes this far south was pure madness. Fast forward thirty-plus years, and they've proven the skeptics spectacularly wrong, becoming the beating heart of what we now call the "Valley of the Vines." Their pinot noir consistently ranks among New Zealand's finest, grown at some of the highest altitudes in the Southern Hemisphere where the dramatic temperature swings between day and night create wines with incredible complexity and depth.
