Winter in Queenstown

Two home mountains, cosy après and long snowy nights — Queenstown's winter runs roughly June to October, with the most reliable snow from July.

Coronet Peak and The Remarkables are both day-trips from town, with ski buses from central pick-ups so you don't need a car. Watch the snow report and webcams each morning and ski whichever field is best. Off the mountain, winter is when the town's après and nightlife are at their liveliest.
