When is the best time to visit Queenstown?

Do I need a car in Queenstown?

How do I get from Queenstown Airport to town?

Where should I base myself?
The Town Centre puts you within walking distance of restaurants, the lakefront and the gondola. Frankton is handier for the airport and often better value. Quieter bases like Arrowtown and Kelvin Heights suit a more relaxed stay.
