The Hāwea Community Association works on behalf of residents, ratepayers, and local businesses through sub-committees, volunteer projects, and active engagement with council and other bodies. They maintain a local directory, organise activities and events, and invite community input on changes. Volunteers can get involved in tree planting, lakefront management, and other roles.
