Royal Forest and Bird - Central Otago-Lakes Branch

Part of the national Forest and Bird organisation, this branch runs trapping networks to protect native birds and species, manages planting and habitat restoration projects, and makes submissions on local developments. With over 90 active members, they also arrange community talks and field trips. They're a founding member of the Southern Lakes Sanctuary, a consortium working on regional predator control and biodiversity.
