Whakatipu Reforestation Trust
About
This reforestation trust propagates around 10,000 native plants each year at Jean Malpas Community Nursery and organises community planting days in spring and autumn at sites throughout the basin. Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome to drop in at the nursery on Wednesday mornings or join larger planting events at reserves and parks. The trust's restoration work provides habitat and food for native birds, insects and invertebrates.
